Hiking is a big love of mine. As I have mentioned before it has always been a dream of mine to through hike the AT (Appalachian Trail) which runs from Georgia to Maine. It takes about six months to do and I have read about a dozen books written by hikers who have made the journey. I read these books and dream about "someday". Decluttering Before a Spring Clean
This is the time of year when you will begin to be bombarded with magazine articles and blog posts about spring cleaning. I certainly understand the idea and full support it because after those long winter months cooped up in the house I am more than ready to start fresh and clear the cobwebs. Mama Knows Breast
I don't really talk about breastfeeding all that much on this blog but I really should because it is one of the most natural and "green" things you can do as a mom. I have breastfed three kids now. My oldest only got 4 months of breast milk because I had to return to work and my place of employment was a big corporate office with a shared bathroom and my office was all glass in front. Plastic Bags Banned
San Francisco's city council voted Tuesday (March 27, 2007) to become the first U.S. city to ban plastic bags from large supermarkets to help promote recycling. Under the legislation approved by the city's Board of Supervisors, large supermarkets and drugstores will not be allowed to offer plastic bags made from petroleum products starting in six months.
