I somehow left my cutting board at my home in Ohio so I immediately recognized that I needed to get a new one. Dinner just isn’t dinner without lots of freshly chopped veggies. So, this go round I decided to go with bamboo…my new favorite material for just about everything imaginable. If you haven’t read my post about bamboo you should go read it.
I found a great selection of bamboo cutting boards that are made by a company called Totally Bamboo. I bought mine at Whole Foods but Amazon has the same boards for amazing prices. The cutting boards are really gorgeous and I have mine displayed proudly on my kitchen counter. They are just too lovely to hide away in a cupboard. The board I selected is made with bamboo in two different shades so the overall look is wonderful and this board is really silky and soft feeling, even after multiple uses (yes I have already used it ALOT). Structurally harder than Maple, Bamboo is a member of the grass family and doesn’t need the care that most wood boards require. The hard surface means fewer nicks and slices that harbor bacteria. For those who are environmentally minded, the abundance and renewable nature of bamboo makes it an earth-friendly choice. I just, love, love , love it. :)
it is nice to know you,and thanks for your comments on bamboo cutting boards.Because we are the bamboo supplier to Totally bamboo, haha.
