Berry Smooth Summer Smoothie

by Tiffany in Recipes

Berry SmoothieNo doubt I have mentioned before that I am a smoothie freak. I am “trying” to cut down to just one a day because I can really go overboard, especially in the summer. I made the following smoothie this morning and it was quite delicious. Tomorrow I think I might add some ground flax seed to it.

1 and 1/2 cups vanilla almond milk
1 cup frozen mixed berries (I used raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1-2 drops of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon vegetable greens powder (I get mine from Whole Foods)
1 cup Kale

Blend until creamy smooth and drink up. Mmmmmm!

Good to see that someone uses the veggie greens powder in a fruit smoothie. I wondered if the powder would give a green flavor…but now that I see your recipe, I’m assuming not. I guess I’ll have to go get some. My little guy could use a few more veggie vitamins, and this is SO sneaky!

No green flavor. I absolutely loved the taste and it was super healthy. You can’t beat that!

Hmmm, maybe this is how I can get rid…er, I mean, take advantage of…all that lovely kale that’s come in my CSA veggie box! So much better when in the form of a smoothie!

I always struggled with the abundance of Kale in my CSA box too! That was before I got my Vita-Mix and became a smoothie freak though.

    Hi,
I’m doing a GCSE Ict project and I would like to use your photo of the berry smoothie in it. I have to get your permission to use any photos published by you. Thanks.
