Healthy Birthday Cake

Wohoo! Yesterday was my birthday. I am the big 3-3 and it was a grand day. My request for birthday watermelon instead of birthday cake was honored and actually really enjoyed. Birthday cake is soooo boring… but a birthday watermelon. THAT is special. It also makes for a good laugh when you notice that someone misspelled “Birthday”.

Here is to a VERY good year!

Happy belated birthday! This is really a good idea. This will be what I am going to do for my birthday because I am on this good carb diet and I do not need to eat all of those empty calories of a birthday cake. Thanks for the great idea. I hope that others will follow.

My birthday is on Valentine’s Day (a day that’s all about sweet stuff!). Any healthy suggestions for my day?

And there was no oven baking to heat up your house! Good idea. And happy b-day!

33 is awesome! Hope you have a great year. Love the birthday watermelon idea. I did a birthday chocolate bar for mine…not a big cake person either.

You are a sweet young thing! Happy birthday! Love the watermelon “cake!” And excited to know we’ll finally meet next summer in San Diego, if not before! :)

  9. I might have to steal your idea for a birthday cake. Not for me (I’m with Liz on needing the chocolate) but for some other occasion. I’ll blog (http://www.mymomrecycles.com) about it if I do! Thanks for the suggestion.

  10. Happy Birthday!!! Your watermelon “cake” is a super cute idea!

LOVE IT!! I served an Edible Arrangement instead of cake for my daughters’ 4th and 8th birthday party (they are both August babies). They did have a cake and ice cream on their actual birthdays.

I have been doing pineapple cakes for my girls birthdays. I cut off the outside and decorate it with other fruit and they love it. Happy Birthday to you!
