I am a huge fan of shrimp and grits. When we travel around the South I will often get shrimp and grits at every restaurant we go to, if they serve it. I love trying different versions of this dish but my favorites usually involve a tomato based gravy with andouille sausage and very cheesy, flavorful grits. Have a great weekend all! I slept in on this glorious Saturday morning and then made everyone a sweet and salty breakfast combo, muskmelon and bacon. It is cold and dreary here in Ohio so maybe it is a movie day? A laundry day most likely. I hope the weather warms up a bit tomorrow. We want to break in our annual passes to our local zoo. Paula Deen Confirms Type 2 Diabetes – What Is to Blame?
Over the weekend rumors were flying that Paula Deen was going to announce that she has developed Type 2 Diabetes. This is such a hot issue because in recent years she has been called out in the media, and by fellow Food Network chefs, for her food being so unhealthy. Today she did in fact confirm that she developed diabetes three years ago.
