TGIF – Kettlebells, Natural Parks, and the Ethics of Meat

By Tiffany 8 Comments

TGIF! Have a great holiday weekend and spend lots of time hugging your babes and other loved ones. I am not religious so I tend to view this holiday as time I get to spend with my kiddos (and extended family) as they do something they love, like hunting for colorful eggs and getting some little treats. Whatever this season means for you... enjoy. I kicked off the weekend with a good CrossFit workout... rowing, running, burpees, situps, pushups, squats, rope climbing, kettelbell swings, and … [Read more...]

The pH Miracle

My "healthy diet" ideas are spread out among numerous ideologies and theories. I cherry pick things that I like and that work for me and drop the things that I don't like. I like the WAPF ideas of a nourishing diet for the most part but I do not like their obsession with meat. Same thing for primal eaters but I do like the primal practice of minimizing grains. I prefer a vegetarian diet but not so much the fact that LOTS of vegetarians could actually be called grainarians. Living off pasta, … [Read more...]

Meat – Is it Bad for the Planet?

By Tiffany 29 Comments

Two years ago...even last year, I would have defended my meat loving ways until the cows came home. ;) But as I go further along in this great green journey it gets harder and harder for me to justify eating meat. The statistics for environmental devastation just get more and more depressing. The meat eating habit is killing this planet and I think it is time for more green folks to own up to that instead of treat it like the elephant in the room that everyone wants to ignore. Just look at some … [Read more...]
