Rainbow Spaghetti for Sensory Play

By Tiffany 9 Comments

My husband and I took our six year old kiddo to an Early Learning class at our local Science Center this morning. It was oodles of fun for all but out of the five learning/fun stations available my son would only participate in one. It was the one that had bugs of course...cockroaches, worms, and banana slugs. Once he saw those he didn't care to play with paints, ooblek, blocks, etc. Nothing else could compete with bugs. I could not resist the rainbow spaghetti sensory tub however and I think … [Read more...]

Earth Day Conscious Box

By Tiffany 3 Comments

Okay, it has been a couple months since I reviewed the Conscious Box. Sadly, I was not in love with their Valentines Box and it prevented me from purchasing the following month. Don't get me wrong, the non-toxic, earth friendly romance "enhancement" products were awesome. I have been ... enjoying them. But all of the edible products in it were inedible for my family. The oats we can't eat because we are grain free. I can forgive that because they had NutCase Crunch in one of their earlier … [Read more...]

Eco Eggs – Natural Easter Egg Coloring Kit

By Tiffany 6 Comments

This year I had it in my mind that I was going to try and dye Easter eggs using our GLOB natural botanical paints. Only problem was I could not find them in all the stuff I have not yet unpacked in our move. So when I came across the Eco-Eggs Easter Egg Coloring Kit, I opted to just use that. The dyes are made using natural plant, fruit, and vegetable extracts. It includes three natural dyes (orange, blue and purple), a color chart for creating 6 colors, and instructions for coloring eggs. It … [Read more...]

GLOB Natural Paints

By Tiffany 3 Comments

Painting outside on the porch is what my kiddos spent most of this gorgeous day doing. I made some paper dolls for my daughter using some Trader Joe's bags I have had laying around for a couple months. After cutting them out I set all the kids up with some natural paints from GLOB. My youngest boy just painted on paper and my oldest painted a cardboard house. The paints use plant materials for their color... pomegranate, blueberry, tangerine, basil, plum, and lemon verbena. They even have … [Read more...]
