BlogHer 12 – The Conference and the Parties

By Tiffany 13 Comments

Above: Stephanie (right, photo credit) and I with The Lorax! I posted part one of my BlogHer 12 adventure last week. I need to post the rest of it now before I forget all the little details. They are already getting hazy! After sight seeing for a day and a half, the parties started. On Thursday night I went to a Stonyfield Yogurt cocktail party at Rouge Tomate (near Central Park). Afterwards I went to what turned out to be the highlight of my trip, a screening of the movie Toxic … [Read more...]

New York City Sightseeing

Last week I attended the BlogHer 12 conference in New York City and was gone from Tuesday night until early Monday morning. At this point I am just kind of laying around the house watching DVR'd shows and taking cat naps, recovering from a whirlwind trip. I had lots fun, met with lots of friends (old and new), explored the city, and came home with really sore feet. I tried to go into this conference well prepared and that meant reading posts from other bloggers who have been and had advice to … [Read more...]

Weekending – In Photos

Family, family, family...that is what my weekends have been ALL about of late. Guess maybe I am feeling a twinge guilty that I will be partying it up on New York City for BlogHer 12 in less than 2 weeks. ;) At a waterpark... pictured is my oldest boy (in the blue suit) and my girl is at the front of the two girls there. Spent some time w/hubby's family in Somerset, Ohio (though not under happy circumstances) and my sister-in-law likes to take pictures too, which means I am actually in one. … [Read more...]

TGIF! Illness, Hospitals, & Good Books

By Tiffany 5 Comments

Have a great weekend all! I will be taking it very easy myself because I was knocked onto my tush this week by a cold. I haven't been sick in quite a long while and my good streak was abruptly ended by a week and a half of bad eating. I had it coming. Life got busy with school graduation parties, a visit from an out of country relative, and a local blogger event. I ended up eating only 50-60% paleo and had grain based meals several times, plus a dessert here and there. All the grains and sugar … [Read more...]

I’m Going to BlogHer12!

By Tiffany 8 Comments

I actually bought my ticket for the BlogHer 2012 conference in New York City months ago but I never announced it here. It's not earth shattering news or anything. Then I figured that maybe I should make a little announcement just in case any readers or other bloggy friends were going so that we could arrange to meet in person. This is all part of my New Year's Resolution to have more fun. It was a total blast to go visit Detroit earlier this year and meet up with dozens of other bloggers. In New … [Read more...]
