Too bad local food markets are few and far between if some areas, if they even exist at all.
Around here there’s barely any, and none really sell any organic produce.
For health shops, their prices are beyond ludicrous compared to supermarkets or even Amazon/Vitacost. I can’t justify spending 10-200% more money on something at a small family owned shop when I can get it far far cheaper elsewhere.
So, I’m forced to shop at bigger food stores that carry a large selection of organic foods; it’s just the way of it. Maybe if the economy wasn’t terrible and prices of everything weren’t going up then this would change stuff, but as it is, things continue to get worse and worse for normal citizens and better and better for the 1%.
I love buying from my local farmers market! It is so important to buy local when we can! Great chart!

Big farmer’s market fan as well. They have the best bacon I ever tasted too. :)

I totally understand. I do my fair share of Amazon shopping too.
