Harry Potter Goes Green

Have you heard? The green world is a buzz with the news that the final Harry Potter book, number seven (and the last) in the famous series, will be printed on recycled paper! If you are a Harry Potter fan this is just one more reason among many to make sure and buy this book. The 784-page book will have a first printing of 12 million copies in the U.S., and nearly two-thirds of the 16,700 tons of paper used will be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as coming from sustainable timber. It’s the largest-ever purchase of FSC-certified paper to be used in a single book printing. So many trees will be saved but will Harry be so fortunate? I am on pins and needles….
