The Center of Science and Industry for Summer Fun

By Tiffany 6 Comments

As I mentioned previously we checked an item off our summer fun checklist last week. We went to COSI, which in my mind is a science themed children's museum. It has stuff that the whole family will enjoy but it caters to kids for sure. My husband, 6 year old, and I were invited as part of a local blogger event that introduced us to the early learning program they offer there. We attended the early learning class first off and then spent the afternoon wandering around the museum. We feel … [Read more...]

Rainbow Spaghetti for Sensory Play

By Tiffany 9 Comments

My husband and I took our six year old kiddo to an Early Learning class at our local Science Center this morning. She HATES the creepy crawlies and I can't blame her since I was the same way. It was well into my adult years that I started to accept them and not shriek and jump onto the nearest high surface. I wish I could say I had bad experiences that made me that way, and I did get bit by black widow spiders a couple times but overall I have to say that I was just … [Read more...]

Arthur Saves the Planet & Worm Up

By Tiffany 3 Comments

This weekend the kids and I broke out some board games. I needed to keep them occupied and quiet so that daddy could try and recoup after a small bit of elective surgery a couple days ago. Games are a favorite in this house. We played Arthur Saves the Planet and Worm Up. They are both FRED distribution games. Well, I am just going to come right out and say that I didn't care much for either game. They didn't impress me in the least. Arthur Saves the Planet has a nice design with a beautiful … [Read more...]
