Go Green! Go Barefoot!

By Tiffany 7 Comments

whole world book

I am a HUGE fan of Barefoot Books. My kids have  many of their titles, some of which I reviewed here, like Whole World and The Boy Who Grew Flowers.

Whole World is an amazing book with a music CD and it follows the popular children’s song The Whole World. Recently we got the Whole World Fun Eco Activities Book which is a beautiful workbook and companion to the original book and it has an eco theme. Eco-quizes, minibeasts word search, recycling game, draw your ideal home… Children will love these green puzzles and hands-on ideas for saving our planet. Perfect for earth-conscious youngsters when paired with the Whole World book.

My 5 year old daughter loves it. We reviewed it together yesterday morning before we went to the zoo since it has info about many of the world animals with fun facts. Today she spent a good bit if time coloring in it. There are some structured coloring pages and some that are open ended and the child gets to color their answer to a question. Since I like unstructured coloring that was a big bonus to me.

I was really impressed with this and think it is a great winter, indoors activity for eco kids. It would be awesome for homeschoolers to. Check out the Barefoot Books collection and their special offers!
