I have gotten fed up with my bed. You see I have had my mattress and box spring on nothing but a metal bed frame for a couple years now and I think it time to get an actual bed again with headboard and footboard. That way the mattresses won't keep sliding up and down and my pillows won't end up getting stuck between the mattress and the wall and in general I just won't have to have a wrestling match every night. Thank You Mabel’s Labels
You may have seen my mention of this great product in the Eco Friendly School Days blog post. I love this company so much that I thought they deserved a even bigger mention. Quite simply I LOVE Mabel's Labels! Their tag line is "lables for the stuff kids lose" and basically they sell customized sticky labels. Friday Favorite: Local Foods
In addition to seeing a slew of garage sales and yard sales every Friday I also see a variety of roadside markets for fresh local produce. Today was no exception and I was very happy to see them since a tornado decided to ruin the farmer's market yesterday. I found organic sweet corn grown and sold by a 12 year old boy (I bought 3 dozen), red and yellow tomatoes, squash, and strawberries. The first thing I dug into was the yellow tomatoes. Scary Tornados
We had a really bad storm here today. The whole county was on a tornado watch. There is nothing more terrifying than the sky getting black, wind howling and throwing your patio furniture around, a huge downpour, the power going out, etc. The only thing that could have made it worse would have been those awful tornado sirens.
