While I don’t want to bash WF, I think that finding a local food co-op will stretch your food dollars further and help in growing your local economy and build community. Thanks for blogging!

If your local community has one that is. ;) Mine does not. Although I shop the farmer’s market every week and visit local farms. WF has the stuff I can’t get locally.
I belong to a co-op, but I doubt they’d ever supply young coconuts. I just bought two today. YUM!

I miss being close to a WF. We don’t have local co-op either. What do you make with the coconut?

I make raw coconut ice cream. ;)

We have a WF right around the corner. They do get as much food locally as they can.
At any rate, looks like we buy a lot of the same stuff. I don’t know how I ever cooked before Bragg’s Liquid Aminos! That’s a staple in our home.
I love Whole Foods, since it is about the only decent natural foods place near me..until we got in the second Publix Greenwide Market. It’s a knockoff of Whole Foods. If I could afford it, I would buy everything there. As it is, I have to settle for getting a bunch of my organics at Super Target. They have a surprisingly decent selection of organic stuff.

About reusing glass jars…we use ours for drink glasses. Small ones are perfect for juice, bigger ones are perfect for Mojitos!!
