Applesfest – Local Fun, Local Food
This past weekend the kids and I went to our local apple orchard for Applefest. The orchard grows 26 different varieties of apples and is a family operation. The festival actually takes place behind their house and next to the orchard. The kids got to pet the farm animals, ride in a horse-drawn wagon, ride in a train car pulled by a lawn mower, make their way through a hay maze, and dance to a live bluegrass band. We have less than a month to go before the most spooktacular holiday of all....Halloween.
