Winter Wonderland
We have snow!!! I couldn't post about it yesterday because the snow must have affected my Internet (it was down) but my kids had the best time playing outside yesterday. Seeing the ground all covered with a blanket of snow is so beautiful. My oldest didn't have to go to school since they declared a snow day but today when I walked him to the bus it was thoroughly enjoyable to trek through the powder....makes we wish for a ski trip or a day sledding...maybe this weekend. ;) This is the view … [Read more...]
Turtle Feet, Surfer’s Beat – A Review
I recently read the book Turtle Feet, Surfer's Beat by Marina Kuperman. It is a teen romance with a strong environmental theme and back-story and I enjoyed reading it. Eco Friendly Board Games
I was pleasantly surprised recently to find a new generation of games emerging in the market. For parents that wish to help their children learn about real and important issues while making it fun there are many board games that encourage eco awareness. When I was a child I liked Candyland a lot. I also used to play a game that centered around shopping at the mall and a computer voice would announce sales.
