The other day when I was chatting with someone and going into the importance of eating local I had someone ask me how that was possible in Arizona with the arid climate here, "Are we supposed to eat cactus?" they asked. Where Will My Passions Lead Me

Finding Raw Milk Is Like Finding Gold
I finally got to try some raw milk this week. I found a wonderful source for raw and organic dairy milk that is local to me and all this week we have been drinking this liquid gold. My kids and I LOVE it! The first thing I noticed upon tasting it was that it is much more mild tasting then regular milk. Horizon is Deceiving Consumers
Well, this is not surprising. Horizon is being sued for their industrialized organic farming practices. As I have mentioned in other posts I am not very keen on supporting a company like Horizon....even if they are organic....which of course is up for debate as well. USDA Revokes Organic Certifier License
For the first time since the federal Organic Rule went into effect in October 2002, the USDA is moving to revoke the license of a certifier. American Food Safety Institute International in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin alledgedly allowed an organic farm to use banned chemicals and broke several other federal regulations.
